After reading about Bergs Burgers, which basically stemmed from 2 Aussie’s ideology of finding the perfect burgers, I got a feeling that wifey and I may just like this burger joint!! Since I’m on leave, we decided to head down Far East Square for some Aussie-styled burgers for dinner…

Canopy @ Aramsa

My take on The Canopy… Yes its a very nice and relaxing place to laze around and chill with families/friends over brunch, lunch or tea.

It was a Sunday on my visit, and they seemed a little under-staffed… either that, the staffs were just not too attentive. I am QUITE sure it just slipped our waiter’s mind to set up our table and bring us water… Then again, it is NOT his fault two pretty babes sitting diagonally adjacent to us got ALL the attention… Kids now adays… Hiaz…

To go in line with consuming lesser after CNY, we opted for a light brunch… A Caesar Salad – $13.00, and a Steak Sandwich – $16.00 to share. Wifey ordered a glass of Sparkling Kir Pètillant thats screaming ‘TRY ME” which was on promo at $7.90. Food actually took a while to come. Thankfully, we were able to indulge in each others company in such a nice garden setting.

The eve of the Lunar New Year…

dsc01855aAfter running some errands, I took wifey up to Dempsey Road in search of some Aussie-styled brunch. I have long read about Jones the Grocer and thought they might satisfy wifey’s craving for a touch of Aussie brekkie of scone or pancake…

The place is not hard to find once you drive up to Dempsey Hill. Driving is necessary unless you don’t mind a long walk up from Holland Road.
