Tian Tian Chicken Rice...

Been hearing heaps about Tian Tian chicken rice and finally get the chance to try it.

Finding the place isn’t hard. Its located within Maxwell Food Centre and its one of few stalls that has a perpetual queue. The wait was long (almost 30 mins) even on a Sunday! There were people in front of me ordering Chickens from Tian Tian by the boxes… But, it was all good.

Tender & Delicious Chicken...

I ordered ½ chicken ($11.00), plus an extra drum stick ($3.00), and 4 plates of chicken rice ($2.00).

DELICIOUS!! The chicken was flavorsome, very tender and moist throughout. Their soy sauce was more the salty type than sweet, and their chili… tho good, packed a stinging punch! The rice was aromatic, but I find it to be slightly lacking in terms of the standard chicken-rice taste. However, on the up side, the rice looked and tasted much less oily. Not the best of both worlds, but healthier is always better… isn’t it?

Overall, I think Tian Tian does not serve the BEST chicken rice out there… but it’s pretty darn close! Since we are most likely moving into this area in the not too distant future… I believe we will definitely become one of the regulars of Tian Tian Chicken Rice… unless the queue remains to be unbearable!!
