Ristorante De Parma – Tiramisu is a must!!
11 JAN 2009
I have always wanted to try the Tiramisu from Ristorante De Parma (RDP) after seeing the great reviews and specially the absolutely mouth-watering pictures taken of their Tiramisu (as seen here)…
Finally… the chance came along after we managed to jiggle our schedule to fit my baby niece’s timing… for a night out at RDP. It’s actually quite a distant for us (West side), but for the sake of a good Tiramisu, both me and bro are willing to drag our wifies all the way to Serangoon Garden Estate plus a baby in tow!!

Ristorante De Parma
To me, Ristorante De Parma is a simple, cozy little neighborhood restaurant, and is especially relaxing with the dim lightings (with candle lights) and soothing music. The interior is very spacious, and is able to accommodate my baby niece’s tram. Service was tip top.
As we were really here for the Tiramisu, we did not order full meals… In the end the four of us got two pizzas and two Tiramisu to share.
Foccacia (Rating: 7.5/10)
We were delighted to get a complementary serve of warm foccacia. The bread was lightly herbed and was served with olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. Very nice! Everyone enjoyed this…
Pizza e Funghi (Rating: 6.5/10)
Thinly crusted pizza supposingly with topped with Portobello, Button, Shitake and Porcini mushrooms. The whole pizza tasted GREAT! However, none of us can really distinguish the different types of mushrooms within. But for $19.90, we felt it was a little on the pricey side.
Prosciutto Di Parma con Rucola Pizza (Rating: 7/10)
This pizza was much better… The combination of Parma ham & rocket salad is an absolute winner. However, there’s just something lacking about the pizza here that left me with a disappointed feeling… and I think the price ($24.90) has something to do with it… For example, similar pizzas from Da Paolo’s Pizza Bar cost $20.00 each (if I remembered correctly) but is generally more ’solid’/filling. So, I think pizzas here lost out in this aspect. Nevertheless, these are still great tasting pizzas!!
Tiramisu (Rating: 9/10)
IMHO, this is probably one of the best tiramisu money can buy in Singapore.
I am not going to disclose much about this tiramisu… You’ll have to try it for yourselves!! I dare say… If you don’t like Tiramisu from Ristorante De Parma… I don’t think Tiramisu is your kind of dessert! Priced at $12.90 each, I think it is definitely worth the price tag!
In total, the bill comes up to $90.42 for 4 (inclusive of Service Charge). No GST. Do note: A more filling meal will probably cost more. Hmmm… So will I come back again? Yes for sure! Their tiramisu is just too good! May even come down for one of their Tuesday Pizzas Night as their most of their 10” Pizza cost $12.90 only!
My Final Rating: 7.5/10
